About the Team

The Data Collection Operations team is responsible for generating the high-quality real-world data that trains and improves NEO’s behavior. This team operates at the intersection of robotics, AI, and human interaction — creating the datasets that directly shape how our robots move, respond, and operate safely in home environments. As we scale deployments, this group plays a critical role in accelerating robot learning and operational readiness.

Your Charter

As a Operator on the Data Collection team, your charter is to execute high-quality robot operations while raising the standard for precision, consistency, and operational excellence across the team. You will operate humanoid robots in controlled lab and residential-style environments, support AI data generation workflows, and help improve the systems and processes that enable scalable robot learning.

Key Outcomes

• Reliable robot operations: Execute robot operation and data collection workflows accurately, consistently, and in accordance with established SOPs.

• High-quality data: Produce accurate annotations and detailed issue reports that support AI model training and improve robot performance.

• Operational readiness: Keep robots, equipment, and data collection environments ready for scheduled sessions and daily operations.

• Continuous improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute improvements to SOPs, tooling, and operational processes as the team scales.

• Safe and professional execution: Support robot sessions in lab and residential environments while maintaining safety, professionalism, and data integrity.

• Data annotation: Annotate collected data using internal tools to create high-quality training datasets for AI and robotics systems.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven ability to follow structured procedures with a high level of precision and consistency.

• Comfortable working in VR environments and performing physically active tasks throughout the workday.

• Able to stand and remain active for extended periods during a shift.

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear operational equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.

• Must be between 5'5" and 6'0" to safely operate required VR equipment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience supporting robotics, autonomous systems, or AI data collection programs

• Prior experience contributing to SOP development, process optimization, or operational scaling efforts

• Familiarity with data annotation tools, issue tracking systems, or technical reporting workflows

• experience operating robots, technical systems, or similar hands-on operational equipment

Compensation Range

$28.00 - $36.00/hr
